En la imaginación del hombre, Alaska ha sido durante demasiado tiempo un lugar remoto. Al conjuro de su nombre, se evocaba fácilmente una región infinitamente sombría de bosques y glaciales sin fin, de hombres entregados a peligrosos juegos con sus cuchillos y dedicados a la cacería de osos salvajes. Hoy en día Alaska dejó de ser un fantasma geográfico y es una de mis zonas favoritas para pescar, que acostumbro a incursionar con cierta frecuencia, durante mis viajes de pesca y exploraciones.
Recuerdo la fuerte impresión que me produjo visitar a Alaska por primera vez, al contemplar sus montañas majestuosas con sus cumbres cubiertas de nieve durante todo el año y sus laderas que descienden al mar. Alaska posee bosques vírgenes y una vegetación exuberante que albergan y dan vida a un gran número de animales acuáticos, terrestres y aéreos. En la región de Alaska llueve durante casi todo el año, y la cantidad de lluvia sube a un promedio de más de 60 pulgadas anuales. Esta cantidad de lluvia es lo que ha contribuido a crear los grandes bosques de Alaska.
El verano es la época más propicia para visitar Alaska, porque la vida acuática alcanza su mayor actividad, debido a que las corrientes frías del Océano Pacífico traen consigo una gran cantidad de plancton y bentos, microorganismos marinos muy codiciados por las especies de peces mayores, que a su vez atraen a grandes cantidades de arenques y camarones pequeños llamados krill (altamente ricos en proteínas y elementos nutritivos). Como resultado de la confluencia de productos nutritivos en el agua vienen a Alaska otras especies de peces mayores con el propósito de alimentarse, entre ellas están las ballenas, las orcas asesinas, las toninas, los leones marinos, las focas y las morsas. A finales del verano todos los ríos y arroyos provenientes de las montañas que fluyen al mar se llenan de diferentes especies de salmones que vienen a desovar y completar de esa manera su ciclo de vida. Al terminar el proceso natural de desove, la gran mayoría de estos salmones del Pacífico se mueren, sirviéndole de alimento a casi todos los animales que habitan en las aguas y las tierras de Alaska.
Cuando los salmones desovan se reúnen en grandes cantidades. Este es el momento propicio que aprovecha la mayoría de otros animales que habitan en Alaska, para ir a comer a los ríos, principalmente los osos, las águilas, los lobos y el mismo hombre. De esta manera el proceso de desove del salmón contribuye notablemente al bienestar de toda la naturaleza de esta zona rica y virgen. Los salmones pequeños que nacen, después de permanecer una temporada en los ríos y lagos, regresan al océano, donde pasan varios años hasta que regresan al mismo río donde nacieron para desovar y completar así su ciclo de vida.

Dr. Martín Aróstegui Director de Viajes y Exploraciones de Sol y Mar magazine Nació en la Habana, Cuba, en 1946. En 1960 llegó a Miami, Estados Unidos de América, ciudad en la cual creció y estudió medicina. Al graduarse ejerció durante muchos años como especialista en medicina de emergencia. Durante toda su vida Martin ha sido un pescador profesional. En los pasados veinte años ha acumulado más de trescientos récords mundiales de pesca, entre los que incluyen 200 con equipo de mosca. Es miembro de honor de la IFGA (International Game Fish Association Fishing Hall of Fame& Museum) que le otorgó un Life Time Achievement Award en el 2004. El Dr. Aróstegui es también un profesional, especializado en la fotografía de pesca y la naturaleza. En la actualidad es Director de Viajes y Exploraciones de nuestra revista Sol y Mar magazine, por lo cual viaja constantemente a distintas regiones del mundo para captar con su lente las más bellas imágenes que ojos humanos hayan podido ver.
Pat Ford Fotógrafo de Pesca Deportiva y prominente abogado de litigio en las Cortes de la Florida Pat Ford es conocido como el mejor fotógrafo de pesca deportiva en Estados Unidos de América. Nació en la ciudad de Nueva York (creció en New Jersey). Estudió en la Universidad de Notre Dame en 1961, donde obtuvo su maestría en comunicaciones. En 1965 estudió en la Escuela de Leyes de la universidad de Columbia. Cuando estudiaba en la universidad pudo financiar su propia educación tomando fotografías de deportes universitarios. Posteriormente ejerció en el NAVY como abogado y juez. Aprendió a pescar en Cayo Hueso. En 1972 fue nombrado master de pesca al competir en el “Metropolitan Fishing Tournament” en Miami. Durante su juventud comenzó a pescar en el sur de la Florida. Actualmente es un prominente abogado de litigio en las Cortes de la Florida, además de un fotógrafo apasionado por la pesca. Pat Ford ha viajado intensamente a través del mundo y obtenido 32 récords mundiales de pesca en diversos torneos celebrados por la IGFA, entre los más sobresalientes: el Fly Rod World Récords al capturar un tiger shark (tiburón tigre) en Florida Bay de 196 libras y un trigerfish (sobaco) en Zambia, África, de 14.5 libras. Su cámara preferida ahora es una Canon (Mark III), en la cual usa los últimos lentes de alta calidad de 70 a 200 y de 100 a 400 mms. Of all the fishing available in South Florida, it's hard to imagine that something has been overlooked. The variety of salt water specimens is limitless and the fresh water canal systems provide a list of exotics longer than the Amazon River basin. When we speak of the Everglades National Park, we immediately think of Flamingo and the closest we get to fresh water is a venture into Hell’s Bay where snook and black bass can be seen swimming side by side. There are more things to fish for down here than most people can fit into a lifetime, but after 35 years, I finally found something new.
Last December I had the pleasure of fishing Redbone with Roland Martin. I’d known Roland for many years from the Golden Fly Tarpon Tournament but never had a chance to fish with him. In the Redbone’ Roland’s son, Scott, was fishing with Capt Jim Dalrymple who had also spent some time on the Pro Bass tour. As we spoke over the following two days, the conversation turned to Roland's TV show and bass. I really hadn’t done much bass fishing other than in the lake behind my house and Roland invited me to go with him and Jim into the Everglades the day after the Redbone. We would use his air boat and I jumped at the chance.
We met at a public park/ramp on I75 at the 41.5 mile marker. Roland and Jim drove over from his home in Naples while I drove up from Miami. I haven’t spent a lot of time on airboats other than the tours along the trail, but I had confidence that if anyone knew how to rig and operate an airboat, it was Roland. Nevertheless I fell over when Roland pulled up - he clearly had the Rolls Royce of all airboats. It was war rigged with everything an angler could possibly need plus a plasma TV sized GPS/plotter. Airboats are fascinating things if you are accustomed to outboards. They can go over rocks, trees, and even very shallow water, but bring earplugs because they are extremely loud. I could tell that I was in for a new and totally different experience.
We took off, heading south from I75, and ran across the Glades Marsh for about 20 miles. There we found a meandering path which was nothing more than flattened grass at times; water birds were everywhere. Eventually, we came to an area that was swamp, thick vegetation, and a couple of trees - walking home was not an option. Suddenly, the swamp gave way to a canal at which point Roland announced that we had arrived. The water was mildly clear, and through it I could see the limestone edge drop off to a brownish depth crawling with garfish, oscars, and alligators.
There were literally thousands of gar and along the banks I could see pods of what It thought were bluegills, but what turned out to be oscars, tilapia, and other non-native creatures. Meanwhile, the bass were cruising along the banks, looking for a suitable place to nest. The alligators ranged from 3 to 10 feet and were everywhere – sunning on the banks, sitting in fallen trees and calmly gliding up the canal, always keeping a respectable distance ahead of us, unless of course we caught a fish which they considered an excuse to practically jump in the boat with us. At one spot Roland ran the airboat up on the rocks so we could work a pool for bass. There weren’t many bass but every cast with a fly produced a fat Oscar. After half an hour I counted 16 alligators sitting within a few feet of the boat waiting for their next snack. Soon it became nearly impossible to fish because the gators had decided that I was not producing Oscars fast enough and that the big rubber frogs that Jim and Roland were casting into the Lilly pads looked pretty appetizing …an 8 foot alligator is a bit much for a light plug rod, so we all agreed it was time to move on.
We ran several miles down that canal and began working the shorelines with wheedles surface plugs and bass assassins. We caught a fair number of fish though Roland lost a lunker right next to the boat. However, we had a blast. We fished until dusk and actually made the run back in the dark – never done that before – but Roland said that we were a bit early in the season for the bedding bass. He suggested that I hook up with his buddy, Capt Shane Miller and try again in the spring. Shane, by the way, had the same goochy bass boat as Roland, and knew the deep Glades just as well.
Well I took Roland’s advice and went fishing with Shane in February. He only had one day open which was close to the worst moon phase possible but it was still great. We saw dozens of bass in the 5 lb range and several real monsters. The water was lower so there were even more gators and birds and the trip was just as exciting. If you haven’t seen the real everglades there is no better way to do it than chartering Capt Shane Miller for a day. Si Taos, el pueblo indio de Nuevo México, es el alma del suroeste, Santa Fe, su capital, son los ojos, la voz y el rostro fino y delicado que parecen tener, por gracia propia, los sitios más bellos del mundo. Esa afirmación de que “la Naturaleza no reconoce fronteras”, no es cierta en Nuevo México. Si uno toma rumbo hacia el oeste por el sur de Estados Unidos de América y está atento al paisaje, es muy fácil decir dónde termina Texas y comienza Nuevo México, pues su exagerada topografía, su flora peculiar e incluso la fauna, lo distinguen muy bien del resto de la región.
Y es precisamente en la ciudad de Santa Fe, su capital, donde se resume toda la belleza y el exquisito multiculturalismo de este Estado, de poco más de un millón de habitantes. Situada ligeramente en el norte, Santa Fe es el trampolín ideal para llegar al resto de los puntos más interesantes de Nuevo México. Una hora y media por carretera es todo lo que necesita el viajero para ver sitios como el legendario pueblo de Taos, el Parque Nacional Bandelier, Las Vegas (no en Nevada), o el desierto de Arenas Blancas, conocido en inglés como Whitesands.
Santa Fe es favorita Santa Fe parece ser la favorita de todos: lo mismo turistas que llegan aquí en busca de piedras y de la finísima artesanía nativa, que reconocidos artistas modernos, quienes se han radicado en esta ciudad, o en sus alrededores, quizá con el propósito de respirar la extrema quietud de las montañas y el desierto. Con apenas 70,000 habitantes, Santa Fe encierra una inmensidad de historia, arte y paisajes únicos. Esta es probablemente la única capital en Estados Unidos de América que no es atravesada por una autopista y donde el edificio más alto tiene cuatro pisos.
Su original arquitectura es lo que más impresiona a primera vista. Prácticamente todas sus edificaciones, incluidas las casas, imitan las antiguas construcciones de adobe, que tanto caracterizan al ingenio arquitectónico de los indios nativos americanos que vivieron y viven aún en esta región. En el centro de la ciudad, el gobierno local ha prohibido otro tipo de construcción que no sea un revestido de adobe, o que lo imite. Para iniciar cualquier excursión en Santa Fe, el punto de partida ideal es la Plaza central. Allí los indios americanos tienen el derecho exclusivo de vender su fina artesanía en los amplios portales del Palacio de los Gobernadores, convertido desde hace muchos años en un museo que alberga ricas exposiciones sobre la hispanidad en Estados Unidos de América.
El centro de la ciudad Si se trata de celebraciones, también es la plaza el corazón de todos los acontecimientos importantes en Santa Fe: desde la procesión de la Zozobra, que ocurre en septiembre y es una festividad temprana con vistas al nuevo año, hasta las fiestas cristianas de la Navidad tradicional. Desde la Plaza, rodeada de reconocidas galerías de arte, museos y los mejores hoteles, vamos hacia la Catedral, una imponente edificación que se levanta al final de la calle San Francisco, y que parece ser una extensión natural de las montañas que rodean la ciudad. Dondequiera que se viaje en Nuevo México, se podrá hallar una artesanía tan original como los mismos paisajes de este Estado. Lo más común, en lo que se
refiere a joyería, es la plata fundida y adornada con piedras de infinitos colores. El arte típico también aparece en alfombras, vasijas de cerámica, madera tallada, esculturas, y todo tipo de objetos alegóricos a las costumbres de los ancestros de esta región. Los precios de este tipo de artesanía pueden ser muy altos (en el caso de artículos de joyería pueden llegar hasta $3,000) y oscilan de un lugar a otro, por lo que debe seleccionar bien antes de llevarse un pedazo de arte. Por lo general los establecimientos más lejanos del centro de la ciudad tienen precios moderados. Hay otros sitios que también vale la pena visitar: el Palacio de Adobe, cuya construcción data de 1610, es el edificio público más antiguo en Estados Unidos de América, y actualmente alberga un museo sobre cultura e historia local.
Arte por doquier Para su tamaño, Santa Fe tiene una inusual cantidad de museos. El de Bellas Artes, uno de los más populares, queda en una de las calles laterales de la Plaza. Otros dos, muy conocidos, están situados en la histórica Old Santa Fe Trail, una de las arterias más antiguas de la ciudad. Uno de ellos es el de Arte Indio, que exhibe antiquísimos objetos de arte indígena. El segundo, el Museo Internacional de Arte Folclórico muestra el folclor, reflejado en el arte, de más de 100 países del mundo. Uno de sus platos fuertes es una exhibición sobre arte colonial español. A la hora de la cena, la variedad es tan rica como los paisajes. Sólo que aquí muy pocos platos no tienen chile. Los tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, y toda una variedad de platos de lo que aquí llaman New Mexican cuisine (mucho más picante que los tradicionales platos mexicanos) figuran en el menú de casi todos los restaurantes.
Un buen lugar para probar esta gama de sabores es el Coyote Café, donde se pueden saborear varias recetas hechas a partir de blue corn (maíz azul) y un chile extremadamente picante, cuyos poderes los habitantes de Santa Fe se empeñan en refinar cada año. Los precios de los platos en los restaurantes del centro de la ciudad oscilan entre $15 y $30 dólares.
En Taos Dejamos Santa Fe y vamos hacia el Parque Nacional Bandelier, un asentamiento indígena que data del siglo XII. Ubicado en medio de una zona montañosa de lo que es en la actualidad el norte de Nuevo México, el Parque Bandelier sirvió de asenta-miento a la tribu de los Anasazi, los desaparecidos ancestros de los actuales indios americanos del suroeste. Aquí han quedado perpetuados el espíritu y las costumbres indígenas en cavernas con múltiples conexiones y pasadizos, todo ello en un pequeño valle. En algunas de esas cavernas se conserva aún el arte (pinturas rudimentarias) de la tribu Anasazi. Tras escalar unos 150 pies, llegamos a una caverna donde todavía existe un sitio ceremonial en el que los Anasazi celebraban sus rituales. Luego manejamos unas 70 millas al este y en la lejanía diviso la legendaria ciudad de Taos, que es para muchos. “el alma del suroeste estadounidense”. Precisamente uno de los sitios que mejor representa lo genuino de Taos, es Taos Pueblo.
En Nuevo México existen 19 “pueblos”, el nombre dado por los conquistadores españoles en el siglo XVI a las villas de indios nativos americanos construidas con ladrillos de barro. Cada uno de estos pueblos es una nación con sus propias leyes y costumbres. Taos Pueblo, uno de los pocos que permite la entrada de turistas, queda a sólo dos millas de la ciudad. Esta villa, considerada un monumento histórico nacional y mundial, es la más grande en Estados Unidos de América en lo que se refiere a sus edificaciones de adobe, algunas de las cuales tienen tres pisos. La mayoría de los habitantes de Taos Pueblo vive fuera de la villa, aunque regresan a ella para diversas celebraciones. Al final de mi quinto día recorriendo tanta historia y riqueza folclórica es que reparo en el tiempo. Llevo casi una semana deambulando por callejuelas adornadas con construcciones de adobe, he vivido en el entorno milenario de los Anasazi, y he entrado a los pueblos indios del suroeste. Pudiera ser algo místico, no sé bien qué tiene Nuevo México, pero lo cierto es que su peculiar atmósfera invita a quedarse.

Incomparable pesca de Marlin Rayado en las Islas Galápagos, Tierra de Darwin Por Rick Álvarez
Todos hemos escuchado hablar de las legendarias Islas Galápagos del Ecuador, donde Charles Darwin desarrolló su famosa tesis de la evolución de las especies, pero pocos saben que en las aguas alrededor de este conocido archipiélago existe una incomparable pesca de marlín rayado.
Su viaje de pesca a Galápagos comienza volando a la ciudad de Guayaquil, Ecuador, que es la ciudad de mayor población de ese país sudamericano, donde pasarán la primera noche. A la mañana siguiente volarán en vuelo comercial, avión jet, a Isla San Cristóbal con una población de aproximadamente 5,000 habitantes.
La mayor parte de los pescadores aprovechan la tarde de llegada para hacer un paseo por San Cristóbal y conocer algo de la fauna que caracteriza a estas islas tal como las iguanas terrestres y marinas, varias especies de pájaros y, naturalmente, las famosas tortugas conocidas como Galápagos.
A pesar de que el archipiélago está situado exactamente sobre la Línea Ecuatorial, existen dos distintas temporadas en lo que se refiere al clima. Diciembre a mayo cuando el clima es soleado y caluroso, y durante junio a noviembre cambia a ser nublado, las temperaturas bajan y a veces hasta llueve. Al día siguiente de llegar a Galápagos comienza la pesca. La mayor parte de los deportistas pescan durante 4 días. Las embarcaciones salen a las 6:30 a.m. ya que el sitio de pesca ideal se encuentra a hora y media de navegación del punto de partida, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Una vez que se llega a "los bajos", al noreste del puerto, se echan las carnadas al agua y comienza la pesca navegando a siete u ocho nudos arrastrando las carnadas. Por lo general no demoran mucho en aparecer uno o varios marlín rayados detrás de las carnadas y ahí es cuando comienza la diversión. Hay veces que junto a los rayados vienen lobos marinos atraídos por el alboroto, a curiosear las carnadas, pero estos son demasiado inteligentes y nunca pican pues saben que ahí hay anzuelos.
El marlín rayado que abunda en los bajos de San Cristóbal tiene un peso promedio de 200 libras (180 Kg) y es la especie más colorida de todos los peces de pico. Al atacar las carnadas las aletas se prenden de un color azul cobalto agudo y claramente se les ven las rayas por las cuales le han dado su nombre. Es un verdadero espectáculo ver cinco o seis de estos majestuosos animales perseguir y picar las carnadas simultánea- mente. Una vez que comienza la batalla, la velocidad y furia con la que tratan de escaparse estos acrobáticos peces se convierte en el despliegue visual que tanto atrae a aquellos que son adictos a la adrenalina. Una vez concluida la batalla y que el pez es traído hasta la embarcación, éste es cuidadosamente liberado para que se reproduzca y exista para futuras generaciones que puedan continuar disfrutando de este excitante deporte. Al final de cuatro días de repetidos encuentros con los peces de la zona, los pescadores regresan a sus países de origen llenos de satisfacción y recuerdos que compartirán una y otra vez con amigos entusiastas al deporte de la pesca de altura. Naturalmente, el recuento de sus hazañas durante su viaje cada vez se intensificará mas para quienes aman la pesca deportiva.

PEARL HARBOR December 7th, 1941 On Sunday, December 7th, 1941 the Japanese launched a surprise attack against the U.S. Forces stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. By planning this attack on a Sunday, the Japanese commander Admiral Nagumo, hoped to catch the entire fleet in port. As luck would have it, the Aircraft Carriers and one of the Battleships were not in port. The USS Enterprise was returning from Wake Island, where it had just delivered aircraft. The USS Lexington was ferrying aircraft to Midway, and the USS Saratoga and USS Colorado were undergoing repairs in the United States.
In spite of the latest intelligence reports about the missing aircraft carriers (his most important targets), Admiral Nagumo decided to continue the attack with his force of six carriers and 423 aircraft. At a range of 230 miles north of Oahu, he launched the first wave of a two-wave attack. Beginning at 0600 hours his first wave consisted of 183 fighters and torpedo bombers which struck at the fleet in Pearl Harbor and the airfields in Hickam, Kaneohe and Ewa. The second strike, launched at 0715 hours, consisted of 167 aircraft, which again struck at the same targets. At 0753 hours the first wave consisting of 40 Nakajima B5N2 'Kate' torpedo bombers, 51 Aichi D3A1 'Val' dive bombers, 50 high altitude bombers, and 43 Zeros struck airfields and Pearl Harbor Within the next hour, the second wave arrived and continued the attack.

El momento ideal para visitar el parque Wrangell-St. Elías es entre los meses de mayo y julio, cuando todavía no hay una afluencia excesiva de turistas y el clima es fresco y muy agradable. Allí te ofrecerán gratuitamente videos en inglés, en los que encontrarás toda la información de interés respecto al lugar. Pero si prefieres observar la imponente belleza de los glaciares, debes tomar en cuenta este dato: las nevadas que auguran la blancura sin par de esas inalcanzables montañas comienzan a caer en septiembre, para cubrirlas totalmente hacia los meses otoñales. Sí, este anhelo de un escape a la aventurera inolvidable puedes convertirlo en una hermosa realidad, porque sólo se trata de prepararte, empacar y emprender el viaje. Te aseguro que el parque nacional Wrangell-St. Elías está allí, simplemente… esperándote.

¡Mantenga las propelas de su embarcación en óptimas condiciones! Por Dayman Bat
Es de suma importancia mantener las propelas o hélices en óptimas condiciones, debido a que eso permite el mejor funcionamiento de nuestras embarcaciones, al mismo tiempo que evita problemas en los motores, las transmisiones y en la velocidad.
Una de las formas de mantener las propelas en buenas condiciones es navegar evitando zonas bajas en profundidad, debido a que los daños causados por los fondos de arena o arrecifes ocasionan serios problemas a la embarcación, como pueden originar el desbalance o rotura de la misma. El desbalance es de suma importancia, al igual que sucede en los neumáticos de los automóviles, este problema es bien serio en las propelas ya que también puede ocasionar vibración o daño en motores y ejes.
También la electrolisis causa problemas cuando se trata de las descargas a tierra en los barcos que estas son en el agua y puede provocar un serio desgaste y ruptura de las hélices para evitar este problema se le coloca (cincks) a la embarcación, los cuales previenen el desgaste de las mismas. Hay otros tipos de causas que pueden causar serios problemas a nuestras hélices: objetos que se encuentran en el agua como sogas y pedazos de madera que en muchas ocasiones no se pueden evitar. Asimismo las propelas sufren igualmente al estar en contacto con el agua salada y los microorganismos, conocidos como (barnicos o caracoles), los cuales se reproducen en las partes metálicas de nuestras embarcaciones. Por esa razón debemos hacer una buena limpieza de todas estas partes que se encuentran debajo del agua para proporcionar a nuestra embarcación un mejor funcionamiento, mayor velocidad y consumo de combustible. Es recomendable dar mantenimiento a las propelas por lo menos una vez al mes para evitar estos tipos de problemas. Siempre es aconsejable seguir las recomendaciones de un especialista que posea la experiencia en este trabajo, porque a veces un simple consejo evita tener que llegar a reemplazar y reparar las propelas. Los peces, como todo ser vivo, se enferman debido a la presencia de pat贸genos oportunistas u obligatorios en su organismo, los que superan con su acci贸n o capacidad para contrarrestar su efecto. Para prevenir y eliminar la enfermedad se requiere conocer al pez, las condiciones del medio en que viven para prevenir condiciones adversas, evaluar la causa probable de la enfermedad y confirmarla, de ser posible, mediante procedimientos en el laboratorio; establecer la estrategia para su erradicaci贸n y
los planes de manejo que permitan mantener las poblaciones libres de otros episodios semejantes. El tema es de inter茅s a aquellos que tienen a los peces como mascotas, los que se dedican a cultivarlos comercialmente con fines de alimentaci贸n, aquellos que los utilizan como ornato, o sencillamente a aquel que est茅 interesado en mantener a las poblaciones naturales sanas como parte de la preservaci贸n de la biodiversidad.
Lo primero que debemos cuidar es el hábitat o ambiente en el que viven los peces , ellos necesitan agua donde respirar, comer, crecer y reproducirse y el agua, a su vez, es un medio adecuado para la proliferación y vida de numerosos patógenos, con lo cual se mantienen en relación constante patógeno, huésped y ambiente. Esta interacción puede ser presentada como una sumatoria, donde el estrés causado por condiciones ambientales adversas se representa en forma exponencial, dado que cuando la magnitud del estrés se incrementa aritméticamente, su efecto lo hace exponencialmente. La mayoría de las epizootias son causadas por agentes infecciosos, pero ello no es una generalidad, La enfermedad, es usualmente “el resultado de una negociación inconclusa para la simbiosis, una trasgresión de la línea por uno u otro lado, o una interpretación errónea de los bordes”
Las enfermedades son como la punta de un iceberg, es decir, cuando hay morbilidad o mortalidad aparente ya hace tiempo que tenemos a los peces conviviendo con el problema y tratando ellos de solucionarlo, pero no lo han logrado, haciéndose así explicito el problema.
