Nancy Ungarino ApWest Mechanical
I would encourage women to go into construction. The WBE designation gives me a great edge and places me in fabulous industry circles with women and men.
NANCY UNGARINO IS THE CEO OF APWEST MECHANICAL, AN as part of ApWest’s team and looks forward to adding labor from HVAC COMPANY THAT SERVES THE NEW YORK-METRO AREA. the VetsBuild program as well. Though ApWest is a smaller company, Nancy knows that the same philosophies apply to a successful organization of any size ~ build a positive and nurturing environment for your employees and exceed client expectations every time. Nancy took over the helm of ApWest in 2014 and quickly increased revenue by 300% in one year. WSP USA, the largest engineering firm in the world and Nancy’s first client, awarded ApWest the task of commissioning testing of 11 NYC buildings in 2014 and has since grown to over 260 buildings and counting. ApWest is a proud WBE-Certified firm and has been successful in helping General Contractors, Engineering firms, and companies fulfill their WBE goals while having an extremely qualified HVAC member as part of their team. Clients know that partnering with ApWest means total dedication, excellent communication, and superior performance. Nancy is proud to work with United Way’s YouthBuild program
Always looking for a partnership rather than a transaction, Nancy is always forging and nurturing relationships with her colleagues in the construction and real estate industries. Known for her energy and intensity, Nancy is an active member of CREW NY (Commercial Real Estate Women of New York) and WBC (Womens Builder’s Council). Nancy feels a great kinship with the other women in the construction industry and believes that there is limitless potential for ApWest. While the HVAC industry doesn’t have many women running companies, Nancy welcomes the chance to put on her pink steel toe boots and pink hard hat and get in the middle of all projects. 2016 is looking like a break-out year for ApWest with awarded projects starting in January with Battery Park City Authority, Pier Head Construction, and Railroad Construction Company to name a few. Nancy is a proud volunteer for CREW’s Charitable Fund and Girls Inc. and spends her downtime with her three children.
