Tips and Tricks in Layering:

SO…? Unique fragrances have been specially created to be scents delicious enough to wear on their own, or they can be combined with each other for creations that are unique to you!

Layering fragrances is a creative and fun experience without hard and fast rules, but for some handy tips, here’s our fragrance creation guide:

If you are new to fragrance layering, start with two fragrances first and then add more. You can try two within a fragrance family to enhance those notes that you love: so for example, if you are a lover of florals, you could try mixing two different florals together. Or, for those who love to smell good enough to eat, try mixing a gourmand with another gourmand. As you get more adventurous you can try mixing fragrance families – florals with fruits are often a winning combo, or gourmands with Orientals.

When combining your different fragrances, try spraying them on paper or card first. This way, you won’t muddle up different combinations on your skin, or need to wash off each new creation to try a new one. Write down the fragrances you use, in what order, and how many sprays of each, so that when you have your “Eureka!” moment you will have a record of the winning fragrance combo to recreate.

Once you have found a layering combination that you can’t resist, you can try it on your skin. Wait an hour or so for your skin’s own unique chemistry to work with your creation; this will alter the fragrance notes slightly into something totally unique to you! Above all, HAVE FUN with being creative and being your own perfumer creating unique bespoke personalised fragrances just for you!
