Collective Housing

Arid Complex arises from the relationship that exists between this project´s most distinctive aspects: geographical location (Hermosillo, the desert city) and purpose: to turn an otherwise old and forgotten place of the city into an inhabitable and welcoming place. In terms of volumes and flow of the building, the goal was to create a level play by means of texture and unevenness, aiming towards a connection between all modules and allowing interaction between all its neighbors. All the surrounding aisles connect the three buildings through the terraces, making everything a single piece inspite of their independence from each other.

Example of general functioning of the building: first level floor plan
Apartments and business connected through aisles that surround the entire building, making a direct connection between the three volumes that make it up. Said connection is achieved through the roof tops corresponding each module.
