ARTIST OR CRAFTSMAN, OR ONE AND THE SAME? THE EXCEPTIONAL SPIRIT OF THE GERMAN ART SCHOOL BAUHAUS HAS RETURNED TO THE LOUVRE, THE HOME OF THE MUSEUM OF DECORATIVE ARTS, WHICH IS CURRENTLY FEATURING AN EXHIBITION WITH MORE THAN 900 WORKS BY STUDENTS, MASTERS AND FOLLOWERS OF THIS HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL ART PHILOSOPHY. The exhibition titled L’esprit du Bauhaus [The Spirit of Bauhaus] is on display at the Musée des Arts décoratifs [Museum of Decorative Arts] in Paris from 19 October 2016 until 26 February 2017. We had the pleasure of seeing the exhibition in the company of Olivier Gabet, the Museum director and exhibition curator, as well as the curator Anne Monier. The exhibition was developed through a collaboration between the Musée des Arts décoratifs and the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès.
