BayCoast Bank Announces Generous Grant for Stoico/ FIRSTFED YMCA Splash Pad
I
t may be winter now, but by the time we’re enduring sweltering temperatures this summer, there will be an exciting new place on the SouthCoast to cool off. BayCoast Bank has announced a grant to support the construction of a splash pad at the Stoico/ FIRSTFED YMCA, in Swansea. Members of the BayCoast Bank family, Partners Insurance Group, and the Stoico/FIRSTFED YMCA, recently gathered for the official groundbreaking ceremony for the 2,400 squarefoot splash pad, which is scheduled to open this summer. “On behalf of my family, we were honored and proud to participate in seeing this project to completion,” said Scott Munro, Stoico/FIRSTFED YMCA Advisory Board Member. “The splash pad will facilitate the YMCA’s mission to serve the local community and especially the children that attend summer camp and programs. The cost of the project is estimated at $600,000. Members of the community, along with BayCoast Bank, have offered generous support, but additional donations are needed. H

ayCoast Bank is a long-standing community savings bank supporting the people and businesses on the SouthCoast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In 2012, the Bank experienced its name change from Citizens-Union Savings Bank to BayCoast Bank, reshaping and strengthening its presence on the SouthCoast. “Now is the time,” said Patrick D. Long, President, and CEO of Partners Insurance Group. “For more than a decade, the BayCoast name has grown to become one of the area’s most recognizable brands. As BayCoast continues to grow and thrive, so too has Partners. With our aligned mission, culture, vision, and values, changing our name to BayCoast Insurance simply makes sense.” Nicholas M. Christ, President, and CEO of BayCoast Bank commented, “Partners Insurance Group has been an important part of the BayCoast family of services for over 20 years. The name change to BayCoast Insurance solidifies this.” H
