ON THE SUBJECT OF FAIRY TALES

Pigs fly and fairies lie under the sun, all peaceful, at ease, steeped in each minute.

But not all is grand, for when they’re finished, they pack up and go, into dark they run.

For modern thoughts, like greedy hunting dogs, are lapping up these childish little tales and tying them up onto rusty rails, left behind to rot like forgotten logs.

But all is not lost, inquisitive tot. Your folks are writing up your secret wish of kissing frogs and flying flopping fish, and making smiles upon the human lot.

O, forgotten tales may simmer in slop, not once upon a time, but with each chime, until heroes transform seeds into rhyme that we foster into the freshest crop.

Yes, child, delight in bountiful laughter, dream of gnomes and giants without measure.

If you cherish the charm of this treasure, all will live happily ever after.
