Celebrating Women's History
by Christal Julian

In March we celebrate, Women so great, Their stories we narrate, Their achievements we rate.
From the past, they rise, Breaking through the lies, Shattering all ties, Reaching for the skies.
Rosa Parks on a bus, Refusing to make a fuss, Her courage was a plus, Injustice she discussed.
Marie Curie with her science, Breaking through defiance, Her discoveries in alliance, A Nobel Prize compliance.

Amelia Earhart in the Sky, Flying oh so high, Her spirit will never die, A pioneer we can’t deny.
Malala Yousafzai’s fight, For education’s light, Her voice shining bright, Injustice she would smite.
Women’s History Month we cheer, Their stories we hold dear, Their legacy is crystal clear, In our hearts, they’re near.
