MSW Day Program This full-time MSW Day Program combines classroom learning with faculty-guided fieldwork and is usually completed within two years.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
MSW Advanced Standing Program Our full-time and part-time MSW Advanced Standing Program is for applicants with an undergraduate degree in social work or social welfare. MSW Extended Degree Program (EDP) This part-time MSW program offers working professionals classes in the evening or on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) and is usually completed within three years.
n Four-year baccalaureate degree (some exceptions apply) • must be in social work/welfare for Advanced Standing Program • may be in any major for EDP and Day Program n 3.0 GPA (Cumulative) (some exceptions apply) n Demonstrated English proficiency (Non-native English speakers only)
EXPLORE OUR SPECIALIZATIONS Administration & Policy Practice Prepares social workers to take on leadership roles in human service organizations and in policy arenas. (Full-time students only) Community Centered Integrative Practice Prepares practitioners to be partners and leaders in transformative social work practice across micro-, meso- and macro-levels of practice. (Full-time students only) Clinical Social Work Prepares students for direct practice with individuals of all ages, families and small groups.

The following must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on the deadline date:
• Complete the Funding Consideration Form to be considered for departmental scholarships.

• Search for assistantships, on-campus jobs and external funding.
n Resume n Social Work Experience form n Three letters of recommendation n Personal statement essay n Critical reflection questions
The School of Social Work provides several funding opportunities.
• Learn more about our traineeships, including the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP) and the Workforce Development Initiative (WDI). One in four students participate in a tuition-assistance traineeship program. About 60% of our MSW students receive departmental funding, with average awards totaling $11,615 (excluding federal and state financial aid).

NOTE: The part-time Advanced Standing Program and Extended Degree Program are fee-based programs in which students pay $911 per credit. The cost is the same for residents and nonresidents. Credit load varies per quarter.
