WELCOME TO THE WOODS
William Woods University is a coeducational, independent, professions-oriented, liberal-arts based institution of approximately 2,200 students. The scenic campus, in historic Fulton, Missouri, is situated on 225 acres with two picturesque lakes.
Originally founded in 1870 as the Female Orphan School for girls who had been orphaned during the Civil War, the mission of William Woods always has been to provide a quality education, while ensuring the development of the individual. The University offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines in both campus and outreach settings.
William Woods University consistently has been ranked as one of the top 100 regional universities in the Midwest by U.S. News. The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
