From your perspective, how are the markets in south Florida and the Hamptons similar? We cater to the same clientele who may be working in Manhattan running a hedge fund or is a C-suite executive, someone who summers in the Hamptons to get out of the city, but then wants to bring golf clubs to Florida when there’s a blizzard! It’s actually a bit of a conveyor belt, so we know the importance of working together to meet the need of what are essentially the same clients.
It seems like the concept of collaboration is pretty simple, yet it’s not very common. How are you, Mark and Jane filling a void? It’s interesting because I think we all come from the same mold. We appreciate teamwork. We appreciate each other’s expertise. I may not be an expert on the Hamptons, and Mark and Jane may not be experts on Palm Beach, but we all understand luxury products and our clients’ needs. This is a valueadd for everyone involved. Ultra-high-net-worth individuals appreciate that. What’s hot in south Florida these days except for the sun? It’s a very interesting market, and particularly attractive because we don’t have a state income tax. High-net-worth individuals like the fact that they can become residents of this area without giving up a large portion of their income. Palm Beach County is a strong market for luxury real estate and very attractive for people who want to golf, who want to fish, go diving — it’s a wonderful lifestyle. What do you love about the Hamptons? Well, Mark and Jane, of course! Besides that, the lifestyle can’t be beat. The beaches, the restaurants, the people, the golf courses . . . the quality of the luxury market there is superb relative to other markets, and it’s just an amazing place to escape to! Social Life
