TEXAS HANDS & VOICES AWARENESS WALK

The Third Annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Walk occurred on September 28, 2024, in Edinburg, TX. Organized to raise awareness about the challenges and needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, the event brought together local audiologists, ENTs, newborn hearing screeners, residents, advocates, and organizations. Participants gathered to show their support and promote inclusivity, with exhibitors providing valuable resources and information. With the backing of the City of Edinburg, this event served as a platform to foster understanding and unity while empowering individuals affected by deafness or hearing loss.

Texas Hands & Voices is a parent-led nonprofit organization that provides unbiased resources, peer support, and advocacy to families with deaf or hard-of-hearing children throughout Texas.
