From September 27-29, the American Advertising Federation District 10 hosted the Trending Tides D10 Summit at the Courtyard by Marriott South Padre Island. The weekend, organized by AAF Rio Grande Valley, opened with a reception at the SPI Birding, Nature, and Alligator Sanctuary, setting the perfect scene for the next morning’s inspiring talk by Wendy Knight, CEO of Sea Turtle, Inc. The day sizzled with insights from industry heavyweights: Herschel Patel, Hotelier at Ruby Red Hospitality; Brenda Hernandez, Creative Director at Airbnb; and Stephanie Price, Digital Marketing Director at Historic Hotels of America.

Saturday included dynamic sessions like Multicultural Super Powers, led by Aldo Quevedo, CEO & Creative Chairman of Beautiful Beast, and Boring is Expensive by Francisco Cárdenas, Principal of Digital at LERMA/. The summit capped off with a game-changing keynote by Ben James, Chief Innovation Officer at GALE New York, urging attendees to shatter the old models of marketing, embrace their creativity, and lean into our humanity.
