SKIS / MOUNTAIN COLLECTION / FREERIDE

FREERIDE K2 inspired a league of its own in the late 80’s, setting the trend with the Extreme. In 1997, K2 introduced the Factory Freeride Team, a group that brought a new attitude and approach to the mountains. They helped lay the foundation for a new category of athlete-inspired skis, complete with the first of many Seth Morrison Pro Models at an impressive 70mm underfoot. Almost 20 years later, with Seth still at the helm, these skis have progressed into their own category. The new Pinnacle Series is the next evolution of Freeride. PROFILE

FEATURED TECHNOLOGY

K2 Konic Technology made with Nanolite is the same revolutionary core design found in the K2 Konic and K2 iKonic all-mountain skis but features a super lightweight, low-density, aerospace grade composite in the center of the ski for added ease and control. The perimeters retain the same power, strength and stabilty found in wood and metal. 34

Seth Morrison’s Pro Model is updated with K2 Konic Technology. The powerful triaxially braided K2 Konic wood core is complimented by plenty of taper and higher Powder Rocker in the fore-body to plane quickly and attack fresh, deep pow. The slightly rockered, pintail-shaped tails gives an added level of control when varying speeds and adjusting turn shapes.

The Pinnacle 105 is positioned in the middle of the new Freeride series as the do-anything, go-anywhere, ski everything, quiver of one. Even the most confident skiers will benefit from the lightweight Nanolite core while navigating through trees or floating in powder, as much as the solid and supportive wood cores with metal laminate over the edges when charging through firmer, variable snow.

Offered in a universal waist width to attack the resort in any snow condition, the Pinnacle 95 incorporates the new K2 Konic Technology with a high performance, lightweight Nanolite center core for added ease and control, while the wood core and metal laminate along the perimeter of the ski engages all the power, strength and stability needed for all-mountain dominance.
