During the pandemic Sisters Jen, Kelley, and Val participated in a four-week prayer experience based on the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. “Christus Ministries (a group that empowers young adults and parishes to grow spiritually, change lives, and transform communities) provided this online opportunity, called Breathing Gratitude,” Sister Kelley says. “Close to 100 participants and 20 facilitators took part in the experience. Using Zoom’s breakout room resource, 30-minute small-group conversations took place during the 90-minute prayer experience. Sister Val shared, “I facilitated one of the small groups, composed of six wonderful young women from Boise, Idaho; Houston, Texas; and Oakland and San Jose, California.” Sister Kelley added, “I am always in awe and wonder at how God works in and through the depth of sharing of the young adults we encounter.”
