Last week I reported on the new baby girl of Sky and Ciera Syrett and neglected to list Ciera's parents, Loyd and Blythe Black of Blanding, Utah. going to Escalante on the 17th of May to attend the Company Convention. This is always well attended and done so nicely. D.U.P. is for any ladies that would like to attend and be part of learning about our pioneers. Coming home from Cedar City today we learned that the traffic on I-15 was being held clear back to Paragonah almost. Some had to wait in line for over 2 hours before they could go over State road 20 and up 89 to get up north. It seems there was a hostage situation and some illegal activities going on so they shut down the freeway. We got word before we reached it so Arthur went through Pargonah and Parowan and then up through Brian Head and down to Panguitch. We got home a couple of hours before our kids did so we were grateful that someone notified us in advance. It was a mess. The Highway Patrol was watching our for our safety. The hostage did get rescued and the others were arrested. Have a great week and please call in your news or email it to me. Thanks VS.
