SCIENCE AN INSIDE LOOK As Saint Mary’s opened the doors to its Science and
Learning Center on May 12, the excitement was quite literally contagious. Visitors toured the light-filled and spacious classrooms and labs that are specially designed to promote hands-on learning opportunities. A 120-seat tiered lecture hall accommodates a variety of public and campus events. Conveniently located, the room and surrounding area is designed for gatherings, presentations, and speakers. The 50,000-square-foot building includes an interior atrium that visually connects all three floors and welcomes sunlight from the skylights above. Glass walls and large windows create open and inviting learning spaces. And “learning commons”—located on all three floors— are comfortable, customizable gathering spaces for faculty and student interactions. We welcome our alumni back to the Winona Campus to tour this new exciting addition.
