Sunday, 03 September Yangtze & Three Gorges Dam Today you will visit the largest hydroelectric project in the world: Three Gorges Dam. More than 1.2 million people have been displaced by the government and entire villages are now under the dam. In the evening, the farewell dinner takes place on the cruise ship. Breakfast, Lunch & dinner on board included. Monday, 04 September Jingzhou – Wuhan (coach) After breakfast, you will leave the cruise ship in Jingzhou, the important cultural city on the Yangtze. The city is located in the southern part of the Hubei province, deep in the middle of the Yangtze and the Han River. After the Jingzhou city tour excursion you will be transferred by coach to the hotel in Wuhan. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included. Tuesday, 05 September Wuhan – Xi’an After breakfast, take a high-speed train (about 5 hours) to Xi’an. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel and the rest of the day will be free to explore the city on your own or simply relax at the hotel. Breakfast & dinner included. Wednesday, 06 September Xi’an One of the highlights of your trip is the world-famous terracotta army near Xi’an. It is one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th century and the 8th world-wide! For more than 2,000 years, the terracotta army lay undetected under fields near Xi’an, until agricultural workers in 1974 accidentally released first indications of the enormous plant. Gradually, the gigantic dimensions of today’s UNESCO World Cultural Heritage opened up. Today we offer you an Optional tour to Tang Dynasty dance show accompanied by famous dumpling banquet. Breakfast & lunch included. Thursday, 07September Beijing (flight) After breakfast, fly to historic Beijing, the capital of China. Upon arrival, you will

be able to see a particularly picturesque spot on earth, the imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty at the Summer Palace. Afterwards enjoy your Peking Hutong tour with a relaxed rickshaw. Breakfast & dinner included. Friday, 08 September Beijing After breakfast, you will be driven to Tiananmen Square in the heart of Beijing. Tian’anmen Square is framed to the north by the Gate of Heavenly Peace, to the west by the People’s Congress Hall, to the south by the Mao Zedong Hall, and to the east by the Historical Museum. Then you enter the imperial red walls of the Forbidden City, which for centuries was reserved for the emperor and his family, and where the entry for the ordinary citizens was not allowed. Later in the afternoon, you will visit the most striking building in the city, the Himelstempel. The emperors of the Qing Dynasty, the sons of heaven, used the plant to lend favorable conditions for the harvest to the lords of heaven. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included. Saturday, 09 September Beijing After breakfast at the hotel you will visit the Great Wall, which was meant to protect the Chinese Empire from the nomadic northern rebels, but it had never fully served its purpose. ‘Whoever has not risen to the Great Wall is not a true hero’, this folklore testifies to the great respect that the Chinese make to this structure. Today we offer you an optional dinner and night tour in Beijing. Breakfast & lunch included. Sunday, 10 September Beijing Breakfast at the hotel. You have reached the end of your tour. Today it’s your free day to relax, enjoy some sightseeing and last minute shopping. Late in the evening you will be transferred to Peking International airport to check in for your Emirates flight EK307 departing at 0040hrs (11September). Monday, 11 September Return flight to Malta Arrival in Dubai airport at 0500 where you will transit for your flight back to Malta departing at 0755hrs. Your estimated time of arrival in Malta will be at 1410hrs.
