Shelter in Gory Zlote near Bielice. Master diploma project, 2016 Shelter placed on hill near peak Czernica. The selection of the topic was based on personal experience. The basic idea of the first mountain shelters was to provide every hiker place to sleep. However, it has changed a lot in Poland. Nowadays hikers have to book a place in shelter a few weeks before their stay. In my diploma project I wanted to create a place where people are always welcome, where they find a place to sleep and eat some warm meal. Difficult plot made construction and infrastructure challenging. I chose glued wooden structure small modules transported by helicopter and connected on site. Ecological sources of energy, water and heat were used. Photovoltaic cassettes were used as facade material on two parts of the building. In addition to a standard functional program, there was also a station for Mountain Volonteer Search Rescue designed.
