Let the Light Shine

Let the light shine, said the sun in the sky, As the people on earth went about their day. Little dots on its canvas is how we began.

Consumed by work, we go about our time. We cross others always, but stay wordless as we go by. The work of their forefathers standing beside and all around us. Buildings, brick by brick and trains, track by track.

The fears of the past dormantly await. People dreading the unknown on an endless path. Still we can finish our journey together, united.

Wounds of before burn and echo in our ears. The screams of torment and songs of hope. The day turned bleak, grim and dark. While we sit idly by waiting for dawn.

That rise will be soon upon us. Like that sun in the sky, All that must be done, is to Let the light shine.
