For over a dozen years, our agency developed smart, creative brands for The Jack Parker Corporation, with distinct properties in both New York City and Palm Springs.


our approach The hotels and residential buildings all shared a fun and cheeky attitude for their respective markets. The New York hotel brand focused on giving people a quintessential New York experience while never taking things too seriously, a brand they dubbed NewYorkSmart. The Palm Springs hotel is a resort-style property that shares some of the same personality traits but is very focused on giving an accessible 5-star guest experience, aptly named HappyChic. The two hotels are different brands, with several outlets throughout the resort/ hotel serving as sub-brands, all poised to support the overarching brand story. Smarthinking Inc. continuously managed and implemented various projects simultaneously between both properties to ensure operational, experiential, and marketing goals were being met. Our task was to conceptualize new sub-brands and re-imagine old ones as well as to strategically communicate and execute all brands with print and digital campaigns, sales and on-site collateral, film, and ensure the brand was implemented into the hotel operation. In addition to conceptualizing outlets, campaigns, and guest collateral communications, Smarthinking Inc. developed and implemented the Why We Do, What We Do, The Way We Do program to educate the various hotel departments on the multiple brands and how to execute them. Full collateral packages were developed in conjunction with the program as well as standard operating procedures to ensure brand consistency across all customer interactions.

Shore Lodge is an iconic hotel that opened on the shores of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho over 70 years ago. The property changed ownership in 2008, and with the shift, a two-fold mission became top priority: reclaim its roots as an authentic mountain lodge and generate a wider appeal among travelers.


our approach Annually, Smarthinking Inc. develops and executes a multifaceted marketing plan that supports the marketing strategies and initiatives for Whitetail Club and its multiple outlets, including: the hotel, five restaurants, the membership, twelve amenities and multiple social activities. Smarthinking Inc. manages all advertising and marketing initiatives for the property. Telling the entire story of Whitetail Club along multiple communication channels is both an art and a science.

To accomplish this, Smarthinking Inc. manages the brand development and marketing initiatives for all target markets and external communications as well as all internal communications to the existing customer base.

HISTORY Nestled in the spectacular Salmon River Mountains, McCall, Idaho is rooted in the spirit of recreation and exploration. In the late 19th century, as the U.S. population grew exponentially, the McCall family traded a team of horses for a cabin and 160 acres of land. Within the dense Ponderosa pines they established a school, a saloon, a post office, and a hotel. Shore Lodge has been the preeminent Idaho destination for adventurous pursuits since 1948, serving families, couples and group events.
