In continuing to highlight amazing women within our company, Smart City looked to a few of our amazing General Managers. Antoinette Ibarra, Tami Perez, and Kyoko Sarchet-Hicks of Kansas City, Santa Clara, and Houston respectively, hold pivotal roles as leaders within our organization. We sat down with them to explore their journeys, discuss experiences, and hear insights on Smart City Management.

Throughout our conversations, a common thread emerged. Their deep-rooted passion for their work and an unwavering commitment to excellence shone through with every answer. Antoinette, with her journey from Event Services Manager to General Manager, embodies the spirit of growth and resilience. Her love for the industry runs deep as she navigates the ever-evolving landscape of event management, embracing every challenge as an opportunity for personal and professional development.
Tami’s career took a transformative turn during the pandemic, propelling her from event management to IT management within Smart City Networks. Despite initial challenges that come with a new career path, her tenacity and dedication to learning pushed her forward, exemplifying the power of adaptability.

Kyoko’s journey from Customer Service Representative to General Manager is a testament to her multifaceted skill set and unwavering resolve. Despite initial apprehensions about her transition into a new role, she embraced vulnerability and focused on fostering an environment of empathetic leadership for her team, which has helped lead her to the success she celebrates today.

As female leaders within Smart City, they recognize the importance of diversity and mentorship in driving professional development. Whether it is Antoinette emphasizing the value of diverse perspectives, Tami advocating for mentorship programs, or Kyoko underscoring the significance of visible role models, their commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces is unwavering.
