Developing Dynamic Christian Leadership Within the Global Church

Foreword from Dr. Kenneth Copeland There are two main points I would like to make about Dr. Francene Hash’s new book, Building God’s House. First of all, her first-hand accounts of her mother and dad, Bishop and Mrs. R. K. Hash, are thrilling and inspiring to all of us who have ever lived the life of faith and service to the Lord Jesus. I only wish Dr. Francene had written more about them, but then the book would have been a foot thick and still wouldn’t be enough about such people of holiness, faith, love, and courage. Secondly, this book touches on something that needs to be said over and over to people in ministry. Whether one is building a church, TV ministry, Christian school, or all of the above, the legal structure and diligence to excellence of ministry is second only to the study of the Word and prayers. I’ve noticed over the almost 40 years I’ve been in the ministry that the biggest part of what was called persecution by the IRS or other forms of government would have been totally avoided had the ministry’s house been in order. Jesus’ ministry was and is a ministry of excellence. Excellence on every level, not only in our living holy lives, but also in conducting our business lives on just as straightforward a holy level of excellence as our spiritual lives. This includes our own personal lives as well. All one has to do is visit St. Peter’s World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem, NC and see for yourself. I know from first-hand experience the high level of integrity that Bishop R. K., and then later his son Dr. J. C. Hash, have established in this marvelous church outreach. I’ve preached there. I knew Bishop Hash and I know and love Mother Hash with all of my heart. I know their hearts. Bishop Hash was like a father and Mother Hash is still like a mother to me. They instilled a level of excellence and boldness for what’s right in their own children and their spiritual children as well. J. C. and Joyce have carried on with Bishop’s foundation. As you can tell by reading this book, Francene is a strong branch of the same tree. Pick up on the spirit of what Dr. Francene has shared with us here. There’s more to it than just one person’s ideas about church growth. She is writing from a long and strong heritage of faith and success in the midst of some seemingly impossible situations, I might add. 5
