The area offers an abundance of breathtaking views and routes and is popular with hikers, climbers, alpinists, mountain bikers, campers, extreme sports lovers, hang-gliders, paragliders, ski tourers, ski jumpers, snowboarders, anglers, hunters… and also with historians, geologists, poets and lovers of all that is beautiful.
In the Tržič area, practically everything is accessible by bike. It all depends who you go with.
FOR FAMILY CYCLING TRIPS The area around Tržič with the flat Kriško Polje and the extensive woodland of the Udin Boršt nature park is the ideal destination for you. The valleys of the Tržiška Bistrica and the Mošenik also offer several charming sections. Here you can enjoy the coolness of the forest and the babbling of fast-flowing streams. The route to Jelendol leads you through the Dovžan Gorge, a natural monument, and along the Stegovnik stream, where a picturesque waterfall splashes down the rocks and fills the air with spray. This is a sanctuary of peace and the best natural clinic for body and soul.
