“Star Gazer” with extensive carved scales. Although the carver is not known, this sea horse is quite similar to the work produced by the C.W. Parker Company, Abilene/Leavenworth, Kansas, 1892-1920’s, a prodigious turn of the century amusement business. The carousel figure has been completely restored; glass eyes, red jewels on harness, old leather reins. Head to curve of tail 40” x 52” mounted height.
