Lots will be auctioned on sale day at 1pm. No animals will go through a sale ring but the sale will be screen interfaced. A ll weather marquee will be available on sale day for the auction. The sale will be interfaced on Auctions Plus.

A 3% rebate will available to outside agents. Outside agents must register prior to the sale day.

Safety
Common sense please. Sale day can stress these otherwise very quiet animals. Please be aware at all times of your position relative to others in the pen and do not overcrowd the pens. If you do not want to enter pens please ask the staff to move the bulls to you.
No children in the pens.
Genetic Testing
All lots have been genetic tested for the relevant breed society conditions. All animals have tested free.
Breedplan
All bulls have full Breedplan EBV’s and all bulls have had genomics testing to enhance the EBV accuracy. The breed average is on the bottom of each page for reference. Please see the relevant information about Breedplan on the HAL or Angus websites.
Soundness & Health
All lots will be vet checked prior to sale. All 2 year old bulls will be semen tested prior to sale (morphology tested). All lots vaccinated and drenched as appropriate. Bulls have been fed on pasture or crop with access to Ridleys Pellets due to the poor season. Bulls have been eating less than 1% body weight per day only of pellets. Mullamuddy is J-BAS 6. Cattle will be held for any interstate tests free of charge. Should cattle react the sale will be cancelled.

WELCOME TO THE 2023 VPC BULL SALE
As we roll into our 3rd sale we are excited about the quality of the bulls on offer. The season has been hard on the bulls with extreme wet last year to very dry but improving conditions this year. The tumble in the cattle market should correct itself soon and be accelerated as the season improves. The US market is achieving high prices and it stands to reason our market will follow as the backlog of frozen top end beef is reduced in the US.
Last year we employed James Walters as our Marketing Manager. James has a wealth of knowledge in stud cattle marketing and knows everyone in the business. It also allows clients to talk to James more freely about their programmes and how VPC bulls can assist. Please call him as needed.
Sustainability is the buzz word of the times. Our programme puts sustainability to the forefront. Firstly, in the intergenerational transition to the next generation of Broinowski’s to make sure the business has longevity. Secondly, to ensure the cattle themselves are run in a sustainable way. Using best practice in our handling and husbandry. Using the best genetics for our area, adding genetic gain each generation and not losing sight what a high-quality beef animal should look like. Phenotype and structure are at the forefront. Making sure the bulls have industry leading data is a bonus.
One of the Australia best cattle bull breeders told me make sure the structure and type of your bulls is right and then make sure the data is at the top and you capture everyone to you programme.
The Angus bulls are all pure Millah Murrah genetics. S097 (Lot 3) is among the best Angus bulls I have seen. The run of 6 Paratrooper bulls show that beautiful Angus muscle pattern, skin and type.

These bulls are simply superb with exceptional data sets.
A super run of Endure sons and grandsons complete the catalogue as well as sons of Wirruna Promise, Pilot and Nick.
All Lots are Genomically tested. This allows Breedplan data to be as accurate as it can be. Birthweight is the number people often zero in on. Prior to genomics Breedplan would allow for more variance as new data comes in. Using genomics accelerates this process and gives a more accurate result. The bulls with higher birth can be easily managed. We don’t believe any bulls on sale will put pressure on calving. Q039 calves for example are all born very easily even with higher birth EBVs as they are very long and shaped correctly. On the other hand the catalogue is full of very easy calving bulls that suit both heifers and cows. Please talk to us about the bulls.

Injemira Robert Redford Q287 has lived up to and exceeded all our expectations. We purchased Redford in partnership and inseminated all our heifers and over half our cows to him. We achieved 74% conception and we did not assist any calves.
Last season we inseminated and used Redford physically again over a majority of the heifers and cows. He has matured into a very impressive sire and now with more data recorded has an unmatched set of Breedplan figures. Perfect Phenotype and perfect data. A breed changing sire. His heifer progeny are simply outstanding.

The high seller at out first sale. Q039 has a series of sons in the sale. The bulls are extra thick and very sound for the level of muscling they have and born very easily due to their shape. Q039’s current owner said the calves out of Angus cows are simply the best calves they have bred. Great cosmetics are a bonus here.

We used Promise to introduce the Kalimna bull. He has exceptional growth data, calving ease and IMF. His calves we small and grew fast. We have a good number of super daughters and used son S013 over Endure heifers. Well framed and thick.
