Although he grew up working in the family business, Drew Carter says an average day at Young Brothers Inc. is hardly set in stone. Now the fourth generation to head one of the 405’s foremost installers and fabricators of granite, marble and tile, Carter says his job is to keep building on the company’s established foundation. “A lot of people come to us looking for something different,” Carter says. “If you can dream it up, we can design it. We excel at the projects that require thinking out of the box.” Young Brothers specializes in natural stone countertops and high quality tile. The company, which was established in 1969, does all its own fabrication and installation while combining modern technology and old-world craftsmanship. When he’s not working, Carter spends time with his wife and three kids, while also coaching whatever sports his kids are involved in.
