KEY CLUB San Leandro Key Club Newsletter: May Introduction Welcome fellow Key Clubbers. This is the second newsletter released this month. So much fun was given to us in the month May and the first few days of June. Even though this is our last meeting of the 2011-2012 year, I hope all the upcoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors will come back to Key Club next year! Good bye to our current seniors, as you members are off to graduate. We hope you guys come back to visit all your fellow Key Clubbers and go hope to find a Circle K within your college. We hope you all have a great summer, and we will keep posting the Newsletter during the summer to keep you guys updated! Past Events and Future Events

This year we went to Halcyon Park, PAST EVENT: same place as last year’s installation. th We installed the new board DCM May 19 This was the first DCM our new LTG, members for Key Club and Builder’s Club from San Leandro. Charles Chu held. Over at Ohlone Park, we had ice cream, water balloons, and sports.

Future Events:

Kiwanis One Day May 12 This year we helped out at the George Mark Children’s Home with the Kiwanians and the newly found Builders Club. Carnival June 2nd

Aids Walk July 15th This event is during the summer over in San Francisco. We are going to hand out snacks for runners who come along our checkpoint. It is recommended to go to the orientation on July 14th.

Independent Elementary School, from Antiques Show and Tea June 23rd Castro Valley has asked us to help them with a Carnival. We also spotted Prepare sandwiches and treats, set up Castro Valley’s Interact Group! buffet tea, restock buffet tea, wait on tables, watch over the antiques Coin Wars tables, and help clean up. Key Club and Interact are doing Coin Wars to help collect money for their respective charities. Help put coins into our jug to increase our money. Putting dollar bills into the other club’s jug will decrease their total amount. TODAY WAS THE LAST DAY TO PUT IN COINS! Relay For Life June 2nd We volunteered over at Marina Park, it was a fun event as some people were able to stay overnight in the dark. Installation BBQ June 3rd

Officer Training Conference June 16th This will be held at Heather Farms Park in Walnut Creek. This is highly recommended to any members who would like to be on board. Check with Natural Chan or Terry Zhong if you want to take the BART there.

Message from the Board Suggestion Box Sign up for Aids Walk! It’ll be a fun event over the summer! Also, give us some suggestions on what kind of socials you guys want over the summer! Nothing smells better than fundraising! I look forward to an amazzzing year with each and every one of you. You can keep in touch with fellow members by coming to events! There will be socials coming up too, so keep your eyes out for that!
