FRITSCHI SWISS – A BRAND OF TOURING BINDINGS Every new development at Fritschi starts with and centers on backcountry skiers and their individual expectations. This is the only way to design modern touring bindings with forward-looking technologies to experience the mountains at the highest level.

Safety, functionality and 99 % Swiss made are the constant factors of any Fritschi innovation. With the legendary Diamir Titanal Fritschi integrated the safety, the user comfort and the power transmission of alpine bindings into a light touring binding. Other results of frontier spirit and courage are the Vipec Evo 12 and the Tecton 12. With the exclusive lateral release in front and the alpine heel jaw of the Tecton 12, Fritschi adds the safety and characteristics of alpine bindings for fast downhill runs to the previously climbing-oriented pin bindings.

New Xenic 10: a typical Fritschi product at just 280 g A new member is joining the Fritschi pin binding family for the 2019/20 winter season: an innovative package of comfort, safety and performance of just 280 g.

NEW XENIC 10

THE NEW LIGHTNESS FOR BACKCOUNTRY SKIING In the category of lightweights the Xenic 10 is in a league of its own: high-tech materials make it light and stable. On top of a great deal of comfort and safety, progressive technologies packaged in a futuristic, compact design also add more performance to downhill skiing. A real touring binding with a weight of just 280 g.

Only 280 g per unit This is how light safety, comfort and stability can be

› › ›

Fixed stop and broad step-in pedal for easy step-in Sophisticated technology for easy operation without compromise Infinitely adjustable plus 10 mm length compensation for a defined release › Innovative frontal unit for a secure hold in downhill skiing without blocking › Exceptionally broad support of the heel unit for direct power transmission

THE SAFE ALTERNATIVE AMONG THE LIGHT The light weight, the easy step-in and the practical operation make the Xenic 10 an exceptionally agile binding for ski tours in any terrain. When skiing downhill, length compensation of 10 mm ensures a reliable release according to the settings. The innovative frontal unit provides a secure hold in front and with the exceptionally broad heel support in the back the skis are easy to control. The optimal mix of light high-tech plastics of the latest generation and high-quality metals results in superior stability at a weight of only 280 g per unit.

Step in please! The tip of the boot is optimally positioned by means of a fixed stop and a positioning guide. In response to even slight pressure on the broad step-in pedal the pin levers shift horizontally inward and quickly and precisely engage in the inserts of the boots.

Well-thought out to the last detail Using the climbing aid as a lever the Xenic 10 can very easily be changed in both directions from the downhill to the uphill position with just half a turn of the heel. The stopper locks automatically on the first step. The walk-mode levels of 2° and 11° and the climbing aid, which is easily operated with the pole, provide absolute ergonomic comfort in climbing uphill.

Blocking not required The pin levers of the innovative frontal unit shift horizontally and thus absorb vertically acting forces. An unintended release caused by shocks from the bottom is prevented without the need to block the system while skiing downhill.

WEIGHTS

Minor differences with major effect The DIN values for the lateral and frontal release can be infinitely set on the Xenic 10. Additionally, it features 10 mm length compensation. With this, the pressure on the system remains constant, even when the skis are flexed, which ensures a defined release in any situation.

One step ahead When the heel is released the boot tips forward. Only the bindings from Fritschi will then also release the boot in the frontal unit at the right time, between an angle of approx. 65° to 75°, depending on the form of the boot’s front.

Strong connection The power is directly transmitted to the skis via the core tower integrated in the compact heel unit. The large diameter of the core tower allows the broadest support of the system in this category.

THIS BINDING SIMPLY FITS THE BILL From the light pin binding to the reliable jaw binding all of Fritschi’s bindings have one thing in common: with their individual technology they meet the highest expectations for safety, functionality and quality and they have an exclusive and attractive look. For a leisurely or an ambitious ski tour in alpine terrain, Fritschi has the right binding, regardless of whether the light weight or the downhill run is the primary focus. The widths of the ski stoppers and the crampons are optimally adjusted to the extensive selection of touring skis. The color of the exclusive design of the bindings can also be matched to the skis. It’s easy with the samples of the Color Clips.

Ninety-nine percent of the components are made in Switzerland and assembled into high-quality products in Reichenbach. Once assembled, every binding passes a painstaking quality control process, including functional testing.

TECHNOLOGY SAFETY PIN SYSTEM UNBEATABLE BALANCE BETWEEN WEIGHT AND FUNCTIONALITY The Xenic 10 is a Fritschi product through and through, both in looks and in technology. If offers an unmatched package of functionality in its weight category. The release according to the settings in any situation and the well-timed release of the boot with the fontral release are part of the package, just like the direct power transmission via a broad heel support and the easy, practical use. The Vipec Evo 12 and the Tecton 12 are the only pin bindings with front lateral release. The integration of the release concept of alpine bindings offers safety, power transmission and comfort at the same level but at a light weight.

SAFETY FIRST

10 mm length compensation The DIN values for the lateral and frontal release can be infinitely set on the Xenic 10. Additionally, it features 10 mm length compensation. With this, the pressure on the system remains constant, even when the skis are flexed, which ensures a defined release in any situation.

1 Release Lever When the heel is released the boot tips forward. Only the bindings from Fritschi will then also release the boot in the frontal unit at the right time, between an angle of approx. 65° to 75°, depending on the form of the boot’s front.

2

Exclusive lateral release at the toe The Tecton 12 and the Vipec Evo 12 are the only pin-bindings with lateral release and DIN setting at the toe like alpine bindings.

3

Front release with elasticity When the DIN value is set, the front release of the Tecton 12 occurs via a heel jaw with a dynamic way of 9 mm. The reset force of the spring prevents a pre-release and compensates the high tensile forces on the leg in a forward fall.
