Farewell Year 12 2021
CUSACK

What a resilient group of young men the fellows from Cusack have been over the three years spent in the Senior School. Whether it be nominating to serve at Trinity Primary, or on a Wednesday afternoon community service, or with the other multitude of activities that were presented. Undoubtedly the last two years were not what they would have imagined but they have all demonstrated good grace and care for each other and themselves. I am so very proud of their efforts and the legacy left in Cusack – the Family House! We wish you all the very best.

KEARNEY
The Kearney Year 12 cohort were a wonderfully diverse yet cohesive group of young men. Their support for one another was inspiring. There were the brilliant orators, gifted actors, social justice warriors, sporting superstars, kind friends and the boys who just wanted to rest on the Kearney couch. There was always music and dancing in the Kearney locker area – a fair reflection of the joy and energy of the Kearney class of 2021. Their positivity is a credit to them and a lesson to all who walked with them or follow in their footsteps.

KENNY
Kenny Year 12s were such a cohesive group over the past three years. I had an inkling they were a conscientious and kind group of young men when, in Year 10, not one of them would ever miss their Wednesday afternoon community service commitment each week; they served at their respective venues enthusiastically and respectfully. I thank them for their wonderful contribution to the House during 2021, especially during such a challenging time for our society.

MCCARTHY
The tenacity and resilience displayed by the McCarthy House community in 2021 has been extraordinary and humbling to witness. This is in large part due to the leadership and support provided by this year’s Year 12s. Their support for one another and their dedication to their studies, the House social justice initiatives and to the House as a whole is commendable. They will be missed as they move beyond the College gates and I wish them all the very best as they begin the next chapter of their life.

PURTON
In many ways, 2021 would rob Purton of one of the most easy-going and interconnected group of Year 12s since my time in the role of House Head. The way they approached lockdown and extended periods of remote learning showcased a sense of remarkable resilience as a cohort. I wish them all well and thank them for making Purton House, throughout their time in the Senior School, a productive place filled with energy, care and laughter.

RAHILL
Rahill Years 12s of 2021 were a fantastic group of young men. The past three years have seen strong relationships develop, not only within the group, but with the whole House and their tutor teachers as well. All tutors spoke so fondly of their group in the farewell speeches and there was genuine sadness to see them conclude their time with us. I am in awe of the amazing resilience they have shown, especially throughout the last two incredibly tough years, and I wish them all the very best for the future.
