Communication
Art/Creativity: easel painting, collages, murals, projects, finger paint, etc These activities aid in mastering skills including but not exclusive to: cutting, gluing, matching, spatial relationships, fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, following directions, creativity, and sequencing.
Cognitive: matching games, puzzles, file folder and board games, sorting games, bingo, shapes and color games, letter/number activities, pegboards, geoboards, legos, building tools, small and large blocks, beads, lacing. These activities help to master skills including to but not exclusive to: hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills, social skills, visualization, imagination, memory, problem solving and sequencing.

Dramatic play: housekeeping area, dress-up, grocery story, restaurant, post office, doctor and dentist office etc. These activities help to master skills including but not exclusive to: dressing skills, social skills, practical life skills, language skills, fine and large motor skills, responsibility to the environment, decision making and imagination.
Music/movement: group music experiences, finger plays, rhythmic activities, creative experiences, etc. These activities help in mastering skills including but not exclusive to: rhythm, language skills, group participation and cooperation, listening, sharing, following directions, predicting and creativity.
Sensory: playdough, clay, shaving cream, sand, snow, water, goop, etc These activities help in mastering skills including but not exclusive to: creativity, language development, texture exploration, experimentation, measuring, and spatial relationships
Large motor & outdoor play: group games, relays, obstacle courses, running, sliding, climbing, catching, throwing etc.These activities help in mastering and practicing skills including but not limited to: coordination using large muscles, hand/eye coordinations, cooperation, sharing, social skills, and turn taking.
Prayer: Thanking God for our snack and lunch, opportunities to worship in small ways, weekly Seeds curriculum, God time. These activities help to build a loving, trusting relationship with God, and build their self-esteem and concept in God’s image.
Rest: A quiet rest area and cots will be provided for all full day students. Children are required to be on their cots resting for 30 minutes, after which time they will be allowed to participate in quiet activities. Bedding is to be provided by parents and brought home weekly, or when soiled or wet, to be washed.

Weekly Correspondence
It is our goal to keep parents/guardians informed on a consistent basis through newsletters and calendars sent via email. Hard copies are available upon request. Please check your child’s backpack each day for notices sent home (either from the classroom or the school) via his/her classroom folder. Teachers may also use Facebook as a communication tool. Please contact the teacher directly with any questions/concerns.
