A letter from our Chair & CEO We are very proud to share the highlights of another tremendous year at the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation. Over and over, you have shown that your generosity plays a critical role in the success of health care in our region. As you read the stories and information on the following pages, please know YOU made this happen. And your investment in health care couldn’t come at a more critical time. Our community is aware of the challenges facing our health care system. However, as individuals, we are also aware of the stories of incredible care provided by the health care professionals here at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Just like you, both of our families have had our share of broken bones, babies who arrived too early, heart by-pass surgery and, unfortunately, cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our parents, children, wives and friends have been touched by the care of the New Brunswick Heart Centre, the Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit, the Emergency Department, the Outpatient Clinic, the Oncology Department and the list goes on. We are both incredibly grateful to have a hospital that is:
“Always on. Always awake. Here, for you.” The fact that this hospital has impacted both of our lives so personally just adds additional fuel to our resolve of growing and shaping the Foundation – YOUR Foundation – to ensure that you can continue to enhance this great hospital through philanthropy. Although on the surface you may have recognized some changes at our Foundation, our purpose remains the same. We’re here because of your generosity – just as we always have been.
