A sustainable Swedish partner over generations

Erik Thun Group was established in Lidköping in 1938 by Helge Källsson and is still owned by the same family today. Our core business is shipping and our fleet of nearly 50 vessels is mainly employed in short sea shipping in Northern Europe. We have an extensive new-building program and are now in the process to take delivery of, and build, the next generation resource efficient vessels.

Our shipping operations are divided into the following segments: • Conventional dry cargo vessels, which sail the ports of northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Chartered from

Lidköping. • Self-unloading vessels developed & chartered from

Lidköping. • Coastal product tankers commercially operated from

Thun Tankers in Göteborg. • Intermediate size tankers commercially operated by our

Gothia Tanker Alliance partner Furetank chartering in

Göteborg. • Cement carriers co-owned with Nova Algoma through the joint venture JT Cement AS. Chartered from Bergen.

The Group also includes the shipbroker and port agency OP Ship AB, based in Gothenburg and Kalmar, and Citadel Shipping AB, in Helsingborg, Malmö and Landskrona and Forestwood Agencies in Halmstad. In addition, we are engaged in aircraft leasing and our subsidiary Täby Air Maintenance AB in Örebro, are specialised in aircraft maintenance.
