SCHOLAR AWARDS
Department Awards: Each department will be honoring the highest achieving students in a course. These awards are designated based on course level.
• Excellence is awarded for excellent achievement in the highest-level course in the subject.
• Honors is given for high achievement in Advanced Placement (AP), Honors (HP), and College-Prep (P) courses.
• Commendation is awarded for notable achievement in all levels of courses in each subject.
Department Standout Awards: Given to the students who demonstrate any or all of the following: academic excellence, positive participation and productive contributions to discussions, enthusiasm, and/or strong Christian character.
President’s Award for Educational Excellence: This recognition is presented to seniors who have maintained a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average and achieved a score in the 75th percentile or higher on a standardized achievement test in reading or mathematical skills.
Lasallian Scholar Award: The recipients of these awards have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 or higher.
AP Scholar Award: AP Scholar Awards are given to students who have passed at least 3 Advanced Placement (AP) Exams with scores of 3 or higher.
AP Scholar Awards are designated as follows:
• AP Scholar = scores of 3 or higher on 3 or more exams
• AP Scholar with Honor = 3.25 score average on all exams and scores of 3 or higher on 4 or more exams
• AP Scholar with Distinction = 3.50 score average on all exams and scores of 3 or higher on 5 or more exams
• AP Seminar and Research Certificate = scores of 3 or higher in both AP Seminar and AP Research
