’15 Jessica Varner was named Golfer of the Year by head coaches in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). Jessica will be a junior at Centenary College. She finished the 2017 season 30th in the nation with a round average of 78.38 while ranking 29th in Division III with 31 birdies and 24th in par-5 scoring (5.10). She also won medalist honors at both the Al Jones Memorial and SCAC Championships and earned First Team All-SCAC honors. Jessica is the first Centenary conference golf medalist since Hal Sutton in 1979 and 1980. For the season, she finished in the top 10 in six of seven tournaments played, including four top-four finishes.

OCTOBER 2, 2017 ’16 Amy Miller was part of the Texas A&M women’s swim team that finished third in the nation at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in March. At the team’s end-of-theyear awards banquet, Amy was voted Most Improved Swimmer by her teammates. Her freshman year ended with her being named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American. Amy was also named to the All-SEC Second Team after the conference swimming and diving meet, which Texas A&M won for the second year in a row.
