hen I think of coloring books, I immediately recall my childhood. Although I spent many afternoons coloring, I actually preferred to work on puzzles or fold origami. I never imagined that I would become captivated by coloring books as an adult. Coloring is such a wonderful activity because it is accessible to everyone. There are no age limits and you don’t need any fancy equipment or special lessons to get started. You can use colored pencils, watercolor paints, or waterbased pens to color the designs in this book. I recommend watercolor pencils, which can be used like traditional color pencils or combined with water to produce a translucent effect. Whichever medium you choose, experiment with shading to add depth and dimension to the colored designs. At the back of this book, you will find a couple of onesided pages. The designs on these pages can be cut out to create postcards, ornaments, gift tags, or special works of art to be framed. I hope you enjoy displaying and using the completed designs as much as you enjoy the coloring process. Personally, I believe that the beauty of nature inspires all design.
