Sir John Deane’s students are preparing for their next steps as many have now received university and apprenticeship offers.

More than 700 students have made a UCAS application, with more than 2,500 offers now received for courses, from accounting, engineering, business and computer science to criminology, graphic design, nursing and midwifery.
Eleven students have been successful in their applications to Oxford and Cambridge Universities, while 21 students have received at least one offer for highly competitive medicine, veterinary and dentistry courses, with many more students awaiting news of their success after attending an interview earlier this year.
Students are also looking beyond the UK with offers to study abroad, including Stella Shellard, who will be heading to the USA in September having received offers from Virginia Tech and James Madison University, to study biochemistry and chemistry.
Many others will be heading straight into industry, with 14 students already receiving firm offers for degree and higher level apprenticeships at some of the UK’s top firms with many more offers yet to be confirmed.
