Charity thrift sale

Students from the College’s Charities Committee did their bit to combat fast fashion and raise awareness around sustainability with a pop-up thrift shop sale. Students from across the College donated their unwanted items of clothing, which were then sold in College over two days. All monies raised will be donated to the committees’ new chosen charity of the year, Women for Afghan Women.

As part of it’s International Women’s Day celebrations, Bentley Headquarters, in Crewe, invited three Sir John Deane’s students to join them for a day of activities, workshops and a tour of the site, in a bid to inspire more women to join the automotive industry.

Danielle Oultram, Careers Manager, who also attended the event said: “We were thrilled to be invited to this event. It was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about the industry and meet some of the leading female figures paving the way for the next generation.”
