Real Magic
Team Work makes the Dream Work, it creates REAL MAGIC. Students of class 4 and 5 exhibited such incredible team spirit and collaborative effort through their English Project REAL MAGIC. The project revolved around the theme of friendship, love, care and compassion for others. Stories from different genres like fairy tale, fiction, legend, folk tale were carefully curated for the students keeping in mind the theme of the project. Some of the stories included Hansel and Gretel, Thumbelina, The Happy Prince, Elephant and Mice (Panchatantra Tales), stories of Krishna and Sudama and Akbar and Birbal, etc. Students were given a plethora of options out of which they chose one story. Groups were created and some groups wrote a story or poem inspired from the original story, they expressed their story in the form of enactment, puppet show, story telling or a power point presentation while some groups enacted the original stories. They were guided to identify the theme, characters, setting, conflict and resolution of the original story and also of the inspired story. At every step, right from team selection to helping students choose and frame a story, the teacher guided the students. Children displayed team spirit and responsible attitude towards their work. The project further helped the students to enhance their creativity, develop an imaginative mind and instilled in them the confidence to pen their thoughts down. Despite few connectivity issues and technical glitches that are a part and parcel of virtual learning, students put up a marvellous show and they thoroughly enjoyed working on the project. Attached below, are few snippets of the students performing.

A REPORT ON HANDS ON ACTIVITIES AND COLLABORATIVE LEARNING SUBJECTS: BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY BIOLOGY (CLASS VI) Children of Class VI B did an activity during a live class of BIOLOGY. They made their own breakfast and discussed the nutritional value of the nutrients present in the ingredients used. history
Time to Think! Are social reforms required even today? How can you contribute in removing social evils like illiteracy, female infanticide and gender inequality? Social reforms are required even today. People have changed since the time of introduction of social reform, but it has not been imbibed in all the sections of Indians. 1. People should be made aware of social reform through articles and books. They should be made aware of the injustice they are doing to the others and to their country and society. I would contribute to the cause by writing about the same on social networking sites, which are prominently used by almost everyone today. 2. I would open a website to promote the cause of upliftment of women in society, promoting education among the poor through free franchised schools and pressurizing gender equality. 3. I would volunteer and help the local charity raise funds through small events. This money can be contributed towards educating poor kids, and for their health. I would also teach the poor kids in my locality to read and write for their better future, and invest in their higher education, if possible.

Glimpse of Virtual Library created for us
Story
Poetry Reading about the social issues like child labour, poverty, political corruption and border disputes, in Dickens' writings, the students of Class 6A were inspired to write the poem Safety Net.
Inspiration for writing the story – We chose Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift for our English Collaborative Project as the plot of the story is very interesting. It revolves around venturing out to unexplored lands, facing tough situations, adapting and fighting for survival. Since all of us are dependent on technology nowadays, we thought of travelling in time into the future using advanced technology. We were inspired to explore new ideas and solve mysteries through the characters in our story.

CONFUSED DINOSAUR There was a dinosaur who was left behind from the lost century, He was so confused as to what was his story He roamed about the planet prowling around, To find a time machine on the ground. Wherever he went, he scared everyone, Even foresters and hunters were ready with their guns. He hid himself and slept silently, To wake up to see his family. Himanshi Khaitan - VI F
LOVE YOUR BODY You think you are fat, You think you are ugly, You say these things cause people Like bullying. You love to eat, Or you are too skinny‌ It doesn't matter what others say It's your body. You are a boy but like to be girly, Or you a girl but like to be boyish, It doesn't matter what others say It's your body You have scars on your body Those are not just scars They are the true signs of bravery They make you more beautiful inside out. Your body is yours don't let people judge you Those braces and spectacles are yours It doesn't matter whether you are short or tall It doesn't matter what others say It's your body Make the choice of your own Be happy It doesn't matter what other people say It's your body. -Medha Chattopadhyay
A VIRUS IS ALWAYS FLEETING I know when I go back, my school will be greeting The desks, chairs, shelves and classrooms Will again bloom and forget about their growing gloom. The playground will again become lively We will again meet and greet our teachers with a smile and politely. Only a few words should we say and hopeful should we become I believe, we shall overcome! Pen and paper will we hold again, In school will we find our Zen Getting scolded by our teachers will again become a ritual, But these scoldings will help us grow as an individual. Playing pranks on our friends and buddies will again resume, We will experience the change from Zoom to room. Only a few words should we say and hopeful should we become I believe, we shall overcome! Eating in the canteen will again become a part of our school-life Buddies fighting and then patching up again in spite of strife, Will again become a part of our childhood In school, I know we will again spread the message of brotherhood. Writing tests and exams on paper will again be back The tradition of sharing and stealing from our friend's bag a snack Will again come back. Only a few words should we say and hopeful should we become I believe, we shall overcome! This distance between us will again be broken The school gates will again be woken The sun's rays will again kiss our school grounds The stairs will again experience mayhem all around. The classrooms will again be filled with buds willing to learn, The school will experience a bright new return. Only a few words should we say and hopeful should we become I believe, we shall overcome!

Researching the dance style of Pandit Birju Maharaj and listening to some songs of Rabindranath Tagore, students of Class VII – C researched on how Tagore's songs had certain talas and ragas that were inspired by Hindustani Classical music. Hence, they presented a synthesis of Rabindra Sangeet with Kathak dance. Portrait of Monalisa by the Art Group of 6B We were researching on the paintings of the Italian painter Leonardo Da Vinci. We were particularly intrigued by her expressive eyes and her smile set against an unknown background. This inspired us to try and draw our own version of the portrait of Mona Lisa
