PAVILION DESIGN

AN URBAN FRAMEWORK

VILLA BRISA 01.

Client: Isprava Group of Luxury Housing

Duration: 4 months

Villa Brisa is located in a secluded part of the fashionable part of goa in the north, Anjuna. It is a 1000 sq.mt bungalow and features a brand of luxury and class. Mediterranean-inspired designs comes together with traditional Indian craftsmanship, resulting into creating a look very familiar, yet elevated in its own style. The idealistic location allows a feeling of tranquility while the beaches, bars and restaurants are just minutes away. Majorly worked on planning and presenting of parcels for the client required brochures, worked on 3D modeling on Sketchup and Lumion. Worked in a team of 3 members.

Presenting premium apartments at Jaswanti Bliss, located at walking distance from India’s most prominent commercial hub – BKC, making it a strategic spot for great investment opportunities. Being centrally situated, BKC houses global business centers, entertainment hubs, and modern social infrastructure. The residences at Jaswanti Bliss utilize space to the optimum and offer rare luxury with refreshing views of the cityscape. It has amazing features of private terraces and breathtaking view. It is created as a earthquake protection building with suitable structural elements.

Area of plot : 3,400 sq. ft.

The client had Roman architecture in mind for the facade whereas they wanted a modern look for the interiors. I designed this project through design process, construction and interiors. Designing the floor plans, considering the Vastu was the main criteria for this project.

Description: Warm and cozy shades are used throughout the bungalow, as per clients needs. Providing larger openings and windows for more ventilation.

Interior Project of Bungalow, Living+ Kitchen Designing. Involved selection of material with the client. Light selection, and false ceiling designing. Client wanted a minimal look with warm tones and wood work with modern touch to it.

THE PASSAIC WATERSHED

An Urban Framework

During : Urban Design Studio | Fall 2022

In this studio, we analyzed current urban issues that persist in the Fassaic Watershed, which is comprised of almost a thousand square miles, such as flooding, wastewater treatment and so on. After researching such issues, the class focused on two municipalities Paterson and Newark, to analyze existing urban conditions and propose a framework for the future of these industrial cities. In acdition, we also created a physical model of the watershed that will be used to interact with the public to raise awareness as well as understand their concerns regarding access to water, clean air and so on.

Focus Area: North Newark

Reason: Dense Industrial population and lack of access to the water.

Exsisting Conditions:

1) Industrial waterfront and McCarter highway are the major barrier that prevent connection to the river.

2) Side walks with no green space or any run off space.

After looking at the exsisting conditions and the green goals, we came up with solution to this problems. Instead of creating a green belt near to the water, we proposed to make green industrial water front parks and green farming near to river. Also create boat launch for river access.

Proposed Conditions:

(1) Proposing a green industrial park, including vertical farming and packaging, providing both access towards the water and jobs to the people of the North.

(2) The proposed blue-green street section indicates the existing sidewalk changed to bio-swales that would help increasing water run-off time to strom water pipes during rainfall and flooding.

The model is being presented to set of jurors and explaining them how the table will work.

The table was launched at a public engagement event at the Newark Public Library where people and children interacted with the 3D printed topographical models, the vinyl maps underneath it and along with that we made laminated cards that explain information of several aspects of the watershed.

TAJ AMITY COMPEITION 07.

The competition was designing a temporary pavilion at Gateway of India. The pavilion consisted of Installations for display area, Cafe, and Tribute center for the soldiers who were martyred in the 26/11 terrorist attack. The placement of the spaces is according to the site context. The tributr center is placed in front of Gateway of India. The cafe is placed towards to occean so that people can enjoy the view.

The project of mass housing was to design housing for all categories, affordable alternative. The Housing is done considering rules and regulations under Bombay Municipal Corporation. The concept of this project is fidget spinner and also vertical garden system in every balcony making it towards a sustainable approch.

Working drawing are drafting plans for the members of project who would be working on the site to execute the building process. For eg. Contractor, civil engineers and other staff who handle the site and actually bring it up in real. It is an important part of desing so that the design is understood technically and the construction process shall be done accordingly. This following work was done by me for academic purpose under the guidance of a professor to understand the whole process of this subject and make this project accordingly. The project was a stilt+3 residential building. These drawings are made in the working drawing format with detailing such as centerlines, material detail, rrc detail and much more.
