1912

Thomas Andrews Designer of the Titanic A Harland & Wolff shipbuilder at the age of 16, Thomas Andrews studied ship design after work and became Managing Director of the company in 1907. As Chief Designer for the White Star Line fleet he set a new standard in luxury and elegance at sea with the Titanic, billed as the Ship of Dreams. He was aboard the ship’s ill fated maiden voyage in 1914.
