Pamper yourself with a homemade facial mask
Pumpkin mask
Do you have oily skin? Get your skin under control with this brilliant pumpkin mask. Take 1/2 cup of fresh pumpkin pulp (you can use canned as well), 2 eggs and 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Mash the pumpkin pulp into a thick paste, add the eggs and stir in the vinegar. Mix it well and apply it on your face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with cool water afterwards.

Lemon mask
Removing dead skin cells is easy! Basically, all you need is just two ingredients. Mix the juice from 1 lemon with 1/4 cup of olive oil or sweet almond oil. Apply this runny consistency on your face with your fingertips (avoid the eye area and lip contours!) and leave for 5 minutes before rinsing it with cold water. You will notice that lemon is a great skin exfoliator!
Avocado mask
If your skin is dry, you should definitely go for the avocado mask because this will provide replenishing moisture. Mash a half avocado with a fork (eat the other half, it's full of goodies!) and mix it with 2 tablespoons of honey and half a tablespoon of coconut oil till you get a creamy consistency. Apply it on your face, leave on for 10 - 15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

hy spend tons of money on expensive facial masks if you can make your own at home? Just hit the refrigerator, grab your fruit, veggies and dairy and start making your own skin-loving face mask! Oatmeal mask
Oatmeal can be found on many breakfast tables, but did you know that oatmeal can sooth skin that suffers from eczema and acne? Make a calming oatmeal mask by taking 1/3 cup of instant oatmeal, 1/2 cup of hot water, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt. Best is to use a blender to get a smooth texture. Slather it on your face, leave on for 10 minutes and splash with lukewarm water.
Banana mask
Bananas are delicious, but did you know that you can use them as a face mask as well? Mash up a ripe banana into a smooth paste, apply it on your face and leave it for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse of with cold water. Your skin will instantly feel soft and moisturised!

Looking for a simple dish that is nutritious? We have an excellent recipe for you! The classic ratatouille platter on this page doesn't only look delicious, but it is also a very healthy choice because of the ingredients that are bursting with flavour and packed with tons of vitamins!
Classic ratatouille Serves 4 Cooks In 1h 15m Calories 212 per serving Ingredients 2 red onions, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 aubergines, 3 courgettes, 3 red or yellow peppers, 6 ripe tomatoes, ½ a bunch of fresh basil (15g), olive oil, a few sprigs of fresh thyme, 1 x 400 g tin of quality plum tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, ½ a lemon

3. Add the onion, garlic, basil stalks and thyme leaves with another drizzle of olive oil to the pan. Fry for 10 to 15 minutes, or until softened and golden.
4. Return the cooked vegetables to the pan and stir in the fresh and tinned tomatoes, the balsamic vinegar and a good pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
Begin with the preparation. Peel and cut the onions into wedges, then peel and finely slice the garlic. Trim the aubergines and courgettes, deseed the peppers and chop into 2.5 cm chunks. Roughly chop the tomatoes. Pick the basil leaves and set aside, then finely slice the stalks.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in
a large casserole pan or saucepan over a medium heat. Add the chopped aubergines, courgettes and peppers (you may need to do this in batches) and fry for around 5 minutes, or until golden and softened, but not cooked through. Spoon the cooked vegetables into a large bowl.
5. Mix well, breaking up the toma-
toes with the back of a spoon. Cover the pan and simmer over a low heat for 30 to 35 minutes, or until reduced, sticky and sweet.
6. Tear in the basil leaves, finely grate in the lemon zest and adjust the seasoning, if needed. Serve with a chunk of bread or steamed rice.
