Business Buzz Federal Reserve Bank Seminar Thursday October 24, the Federal Reserve Bank hosted an information seminar targeting small town economic development. The concept presented in this seminar was to identify your community’s assets. Once identified,

use an entrepreneurial approach to create commerce utilizing those assets. Making a community grow can be difficult or simple. Unlike popular belief, it does not always require large factories and corporations. Some of the smallest towns and communities gained their prosperity from utilizing

assets and resources already available. The FRB will be hosting another seminar, Food Entrepreneurship: A New Way of Thinking About Local Food and Jobs, November 14, located in Cape Girardeau. Contact the Chamber before November 11, if you are interested in attending.
