When He commands us to BE WITNESSES UNTO HIM, the Lord Jesus Christ also commands us to RECEIVE POWER, after being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Christ said “Behold, I give unto you POWER TO TREAD ON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS, AND OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY: AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU” (Luke 10:19). As we surrender our lives to: (1) LIVE AS MARTYR-WITNESSES (2) BE WITNESSES UNTO ONLY CHRIST (3) LIVE AS MARTYR-WITNESSES UNTO CHRIST, TO EVERY PERSON, EVERYWHERE, as we believe and obey (Luke 11:9-13, Acts 5:32), the Holy Ghost will come upon us, fill us with His sin-convicting, devilevicting, sickness-destroying, dead-raising, soul-saving POWER, with which He filled Christ and the apostles, and, like them, we will push back the devil’s flood tides of wickedness, and “turn the world upside down”, for our Lord Jesus Christ.
