IS IT USEFUL TO FIND OUT THE DEGREE OF PLEASURE OR SADNESS Yes. It is quite a useful thing to do. This is because the quality of life can be improved and happiness in life can be multiplied by this simple endeavor. This is how we can actually experience it. Most of us experience boredom, depression, restlessness, vacuum, sense of loss, sense of having wasted life and so on. This is because we are not satisfied with our achievements. We feel that that we have not lived to the best of our own expectations and of those whom we love and respect. But this stage which comes sometime around the age of forty five and many time corresponds to the age of menopause [cessation of monthly cycle] in women can be over-come or prevented by learning to find out the degree of pleasure or sadness in any given activity that we do.
