June 15, 2022, marked one year since Meddy, Glynis, and Madison Se les moved into their house on South Wayne Street, though from the looks of their garden it looks like they have been there much longer. The Se les moved to town for something smaller after building one house and remodeling several others in the country. They loved the house and the basic layout, but they have put their trademark touches inside and out. Nowhere is that more evident than their co age garden.
Keeping up their garden is a family aff air. “Meddy keeps the yards, I tend the fl owers and our daughter, Madison, comes out and says, ‘it looks good,’” Glynis said. As beautiful as their garden

What looks like an iron gate is actually an old bed frame that they painted and have moved it with them from house to house.
is Glynis says she’s not the one with the “green thumb.” “I credit my mother and Meddy’s mom as having the ‘green thumbs’ and always eager to contribute to creating and maintaining our fl ower garden,” she explained.
They fi nd inspiration in their neighbor’s gardens, enjoying others style and creativity. “It’s all about what you like and enjoying God’s nature in creating a beautiful garden,” Glynis said. They especially enjoy the fountain and watching the bird’s bath, however, they keep a close eye on their cat, Sylvester Se les, who also likes to watch the birds.
As complete as their garden may seem, Glynis says it’s missing one main thing. “I just wish my dad was here to help me keep it watered.” |WM Glynis likes smaller garden spots because they are easier to maintain and easier to create focal points. The fountain is a must for them in every garden.

“While gazing balls may be considered old school, I like them.” Glynis uses them, as well as mirrors, for color and reflection.
A table invites you into the garden to sit, relax, and enjoy the beauty. A silver tray always at the ready is one of Glynis’ trademarks.

The front porch, decorated in whimsical colors and patterns, greets visitors and o ers a place to enjoy the view of the garden. A hanging candle chandelier provides a decorative touch.
