July 5 games, a Bible story, music and snacks each night. As the theme of the VBS is foodrelated, each participant is asked to bring a nonperishable food item (such as peanut butter, macaroni, canned items, etc.) every night of VBS. All of these donations will be donated to a local food bank.

On Thursday night, July 27, St. Luke’s will be hosting an outdoor picnic, starting at 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting - if bad weather, they will move the picnic indoors). All are asked to bring a side dish, and St. Luke’s will be serving hot dogs. And they will have a food truck there serving ice cream!

It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the Winter 2023 President’s List. The winter terms run from January to May.

SNHU President’s List

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/ spring and summer.

Westhafer Inducted Into Honor Society

Elise Westhafer, of Reinholds, was among the University of Scranton students inducted into Nu Rho Psi, the national honor society for neuroscience students.

Induction is open to students who have demonstrated interest in neuroscience, have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.2, and a 3.5 average in neurosciencerelated courses.

Westhafer is a senior neuroscience major at the Jesuit university.

Hyatt Earns Degree

Juli Hyatt, Lititz, earned an Albright College Master of Science degree in General and PreK-4 Grade Education, French, in May.

Housenga Earns Award

Several students were recognized at the annual Awards Ceremony during Commencement Week at Bob Jones University.

Matthew Housenga, a resident of Ephrata, received the Keyboard Studies Award.

The Marguerite Nagle Berry Scholarships are awarded annually to music majors in piano or organ who have demonstrated good talent and dedication to the development of that talent for God’s glory.

Mohler Named To Dean’s List

Congratulations to Belhaven University student Anissa Mohler, of Ephrata, on being named to the Belhaven University Spring 2023 Dean’s List.

Mohler is among a select number of students named to the Dean’s List.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4-3.99 while taking a full course load of at least 12 semester hours.

• Knitting Club - Monday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesday, July 25 at 6:00 p.m. Knitting Club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, from 10:00 a.m. until noon and the last Tuesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Knitting Club is for people who knit and like to share the craft. This is not a class or instruction, just friendly gathering to knit and work on projects. Must bring all your own supplies. Crocheters also welcome. No registration required.

• Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster CountyWednesday, July 5 at 6:00 p.m. No registration required.

• Lititz Game ClubWednesday, July 5 and 19 at 4:30 p.m. Meets the first and third Wednesday of the month. A place for people to come together and play tabletop games. Whether you enjoy casual games like Uno and Scrabble, gateway games like Catan, Wingspan, and Ticket to Ride, or more strategic games like Scythe and Terraforming Mars, they have plenty of fun games to play. A game library with a wide selection of games is available, but feel free to bring your own (familyfriendly) games as well! Their games accommodate players ages 10 and up. No registration needed.

• Tai Chi Easy - Tuesday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. Tai Chi Easy Method - A blend of Qigong and common Tai Chi movements, Tai Chi Easy is designed to improve the quality of life for all people.
