The residential project attempts to cater to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low Income Group (LIG) and tries to solve a greater need of residence in the area of Kalupur, old Ahmedabad. The context and the current living state reflects how the dense population resides and what are the needs for an affective residential project.

The concepts for the housing project started from few sketches, abstract models and few abstract drawings. The concepts outlines the major part of focus with perspective of design, such as nodes and their interection, cluster design as a naturally built space rather than just a simple cluster with use of combination of spaces that are closed, open and semi- open.




The plan exhibits the proposed design of the residence with activities that happen works with existing trees. The plan also shows how the spaces in the units work and design can be set.


Individual spill out space caters to the needs of the residence as they use the ground as a very important part of the house.
The central space and courtyards act as nodes of interection and convert the random nodes in the site to e ective focal points.



The elemental staircase acts as a separatepart of the build space creating a circulation with no visual bound.

The creation of terraces compliment the spill out concept as the terrace become the ground for the houses on each level.
The projections of the pol houses and the balconies made re ect the context of the vernacular architecture opf ahmedabad.


Mid rise built structure is an apt solution to the vast population of the site as well as the context of the pol houses.
