The WISTA Hellas 2016 Annual Forum that took place in December at the Intercon nental Hotel in Athens, brought together key players from the Greek and interna onal shipping community for an animated panel discussion on the uncertainty domina ng the global market. More than 300 shipping professionals a ended the debate en tled “The Shipping industry maintaining its resilience in a con nuously unstable environment” and follow-up discussions by representa ves from major market sectors, which further added to the success of the event. E himios Mitropoulos, Secretary-General Emeritus of the Interna onal Mari me Organiza on (IMO) and Chairman of the Maria Tsakos Public Benefit Founda on gave the opening address of the forum which was moderated by Nigel Lowry, Correspondent of Lloyd’s List in Greece.
