Photo Contest

Submit your best Warrenville photo for a chance to be featured on one of our custom puzzles for the fall Puzzle Palooza events!

Contest Rules: new Coding Express – Beginner Ages 3-5

1. File must be received in jpg format.

2. Photos must be taken in Warrenville and not contain any people.

3. By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the Warrenville Park District for advertising purposes.

4. Two photo winners will be chosen: 1 for the Adult Edition puzzle and 1 for the Family Edition puzzle.

5. Winners will receive a free entry to one of our 2024 Puzzle Palooza events.

6. Entries must be emailed to sherip@warrenvilleparks.org no later than August 31, 2023. Please include your name, address, phone number and email address.

Children use Duplo blocks to naturally incorporate early coding skills. Throughout the session, students will use computational thinking to develop designs, as they build a train and track and position action bricks to affect trains behavior. RB

Children utilize skills learned in the beginner session and add digital tools! We will explore the understanding that the action bricks behavior can be changed with app. We will learn about emotions, sounds, traffic signs, and simple math. (Prerequisite – Beginner Coding Express). RB

Get those hands dirty and learn how delicious home-grown veggies can be! Kids will take part in every aspect of gardening at our kids’ garden. Each gardener will plant a small veggie in a plastic pot to take home along with knowledge on how to start their own garden at home. This class is rain or shine. We’ll be outdoors by the lower level of the Warrenville Community Building Garden. RB
